On a £200,000 repayment mortgage at an example rate of 4.5% over 25 years, the illustration is £1,111.66 a month. At 4.75% it is £1,140.23, about £28.57 a month more (£343 a year). The example rate is not Bank Rate and the step is not a prediction.
