Umbrella worker mortgage evidence
An umbrella payslip has an assignment rate, an employer margin, holiday pay and a taxable gross. Using the assignment rate as salary overstates the pay.
What this page will not do
- A limited company you also run is a second file. Use the director page for that income.
- Expenses paid through the umbrella need to match the rules the umbrella actually used.
- It will not name a lender, a product, or an approval chance.
Questions
- Which number is the salary?
- Start from the taxable gross on the payslip. Do not start from the assignment rate.
- Is an umbrella the same as a limited company?
- No. The umbrella employs you. A company you control is the director file.
